The Douro changes throughout the day. Morning mist sits low between the terraces, the river carries the light differently each hour, and evenings arrive slowly. This three-night retreat takes place within that rhythm, beginning on arrival evening with a fire ceremony and shared dinner. From there, the next two days follow a gentle structure that balances movement, rest, treatments, and time outdoors.
The first full day, Despertar (Awakening), starts with a morning Hatha Yoga session and breakfast, followed by a tile painting workshop. In the afternoon, the Awakening Massage is designed to ease physical tension and encourage deeper rest, before gathering for a wine tasting ahead of the group dinner. The second full day, Enraizar (Rooting), begins again with yoga before heading out for a walk through the vineyards or nearby forest. After lunch, the afternoon centers on the Art of tea & water ritual, followed by a guided breathwork session as evening settles across the valley. The final morning, Renovar (Renewal), is left unhurried, with breakfast at leisure before a closing ritual and departure.
Breakfast and dinner are shared each day, with time between sessions left intentionally open. There is no expectation to perform, improve, or reach a particular outcome. The retreat is designed simply as time away from routine, held within the quieter pace of the Douro. No previous experience with yoga or wellness practices is needed. Accommodation, daily breakfast, group dinners, workshops, and spa treatments are included throughout the stay. This retreat will be conducted in Portuguese.
